European Economic Interest Groupings (EEIG) – Refund of incorrectly charged Companies House fees

Companies House fees were revised and a new scale of fees came into force on 1 February 2005. An implementation review of the new fees identified that same day EEIG registration and some EEIG inspection services were being incorrectly charged prior to this date. Therefore, if you have been charged for any of the following EEIG services before 1 st February 2005 you may be entitled to a refund:

Same day registration of an EEIG
Same day certified copy of an EEIG information
Inspection of an EEIG record delivered electronically

If you have paid for any of the above EEIG services before 1 st February 2005 apply in writing for a refund to:

Applications for refunds must include the name and registration number of the EEIG and proof of your original payment.

Please note: If you paid for any of these services on behalf of a third party, legal guidelines make it clear that as far as practicable claimants should take steps to identify their clients in order to pass on the refund. Therefore, Companies House will ask you to sign a letter to this effect before making refunds.
