Companies House maintains a small information and contact facility for members of the Media and Trade Press. For this reason, while we do welcome professional interest in Companies House we are limited in our ability to respond to extensive search requests. We are, however, able to provide restricted search support and certainly advise on how to obtain subscriptions to our online search facilities.

By far the majority of the enquiries we receive relate to questions about particular companies, directors or information on company legal responsibilities. We recommend checking our Website for this information initially, which will in most cases provide you with all the answers you'll need immediately.

Online facilities include:

'Guidance Booklets' giving guidance and timing on director responsibilities, account filing deadlines, etc.

'Our Services': our extensive public record, which lists our available search facilities. Most of the information you will ever require in this regard is available through our excellent 'WebCHeck' facility, which is a customer-tailored service; or from 'Companies House Direct', which is a subscribed to service which costs from £5 per month. These services are available from Monday - Saturday 7:00am to 12 Midnight UK Time.

Companies House Internal Communication & Press Team is available from 09:00 am - 17:00 pm Monday - Friday, excluding Public Holidays.
