WebCHeckThe WebCHeck service offers a searchable Company Names and Address Index free of charge which enables you to search for information on over 2 million companies. The searches can be carried out on a company either by using its name or by using its unique company registration number. In addition to the free company details, you can also use WebCHeck to purchase a company’s historical information, including accounts and annual returns and a selection of company reports all online Monitor is also accessible via the WebCHeck service. Monitor will allow you to ‘monitor’ the submission of information to Companies House by any company you choose. Payment can be made by credit/debit card or PayPal and all products are delivered electronically to a unique secure download area.

Companies House DirectCompanies House Direct is our premier search tool for accessing and downloading company information directly from your own PC. Over 240 million images of company documents are available including company accounts, as well as a wide range of database information. Companies House Direct is a subscription service, so you will need to open an account with us. Opening an account is now free; thereafter a monthly subscription fee of £4.00 is charged as part of your monthly invoice, which would also include any documents or products that you may have purchased.

You can keep an eye on any company on the public register, including your own company and ‘monitor’ what information has been sent to Companies House, using the Monitor service within WebCHeck & Companies House Direct. Just register your email address, and details of the companies and the information you are interested in. As soon as the information is registered and is live on the public register, the system will recognise your interest and send you an email notification. You can then decide whether you wish to order the information. The choice is yours.

XML Gateway
The XML Gateway offers electronic access to a core range of companies information from the Companies House Databases. The service is accessible online over the internet by authorised XML Gateway customers.

Company URIs (Uniform Resource Identifiers)
Company URIs (Uniform Resource Identifiers) have been developed to supply basic company details for each company on our register. The URI is a unique web address that represents a company (using the ‘business.data.gov.uk’ domain); and will return basic company details for that company. The development of company URIs fits with the government transparency agenda of providing easier access to public data; and it provides a more efficient way of data linking for users and the business information industry.

DVD ROM DirectoryThe DVD ROM Directory contains basic company details on over 2 million live companies registered in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland along with companies that have become dissolved in the last month. The DVD has a built in search facility that allows up to 6 combinations of searches to be made. The search options are company name, company number, registered office address lines, postcode, date of incorporation or range of dates, SIC(03) Codes or description, company type, company status or accounts type.
The directory is produced monthly and you can purchase a single copy for £30 or a year’s subscription for £300. Copies are available from Companies House Information Centres, alternatively you can purchase DVD ROM over the phone from the Companies House Contact Centre on (0)303 1234 500 and pay by Credit/Debit Card or in writing accompanied by a cheque made payable to ‘Companies House’ and send to Customer Care, Companies House, Crown Way, Cardiff, CF14 3UZ.
This product is not compatible with Apple Mac computers.
The DVD ROM directory is controlled for six months from the date of purchase after which time you will be unable to access the data.
Please note the DVD ROM Directory does not show details of annual turnover, telephone numbers or directors’ details. The information displayed cannot be exported, however we do provide a one off version of the directory with exportable files at a cost of £1075. The maximum number of results that can be exported at one time is 30,000.

Companies House Contact Centre
Our Contact Centre staff are able to deal with most general queries on matters relating to Companies House and the services we provide. They will normally give you an immediate solution to your query but if they cannot they will transfer you to someone who can.
Our Contact Centre can also take orders for company documents, which are then despatched by post, fax or email. Payment can be made by cheque if you order by post; or you may order by telephone if you are paying by credit card or have an account. Copies of individual documents can be supplied by fax or email for people who are paying by credit card or who have an account.
